Pearl of East Tibetan

Qamdo City is located in eastern Tibet Autonomous Region, lying in the area of Hengduan Mountains and valleys of Jinsha River, Lancang River and Nu River. Its unique geographical position has endowed Qamdo with natural scenery of magnificence and precipices.

Acting as a hub for trade, Qamdo - honored “Pearl of East Tibetan” once was a strategic point of Ancient Tea Horse Road. Qamdo is necessary to enter eastern Tibet from Sichuan and Yunnan Provinces.
