As chilly wind and snow have gone, spring blossoms have quietly opened.

After winter, the cherry blossoms that have silently appeared on the branches

herald thriving hope.

China Pictorial reporters took to the streets of Wuhan,

to record the splendor of spring,

and the lives of people in this heroic city

in the coming spring.

In the East Lake Scenic Area of central Wuhan,

flowers bloom successively, bringing beautiful scenery into view.

Although the COVID-19 epidemic has yet to dissipate,

cherry blossoms are rushing to bloom.

The flower buds seem to gestate seeds of hope.

Releasing the vitality accumulated in winter,

the land carpeted with green grass

has become the best gift for spring.

With spring in the air, the streets of Wuhan take on a brand new look.

Spring is coming, and let’s get moving

to improve our immunity and defeat the coronavirus!

The winter has left us with newly sprouted plants.

Trimmed regularly,

the flourishing branches are becoming even greener.

Epidemic prevention and control

could not have been achieved without the “guardians” of the city.

In recent days, Wuhan has increased the number of hospital beds through multiple channels

and ensured the treatment capacity of these newly added beds.

At present, the number of beds in designated hospitals, cabin hospitals and quarantine areas

have all outnumbered patients,

which provides a solid guarantee for improving the recovery rate.

It seems that there has never been a spring

that we have looked forward to so much.

When we claim victory over the epidemic, we’ll enjoy the beautiful spring scenery of Wuhan together.
