Starlight

Men and women from all walks of life in different countries are fighting against the coronavirus, risking their own lives. They don’t know each other, but they are making a joint effort to contain the pandemic. Although they don’t know each other’s families, they are protecting them all the same.

This music video, Starlight, a tribute to heroes fighting the virus, was sung by ten children respectively from China, South Korea, Pakistan, Venezuela, Italy, Zimbabwe, France, Iran, Egypt, and the United States, in their native languages.

Lyric:

The black devil travels through the earth,

mankind is fighting for fate.

The virus knows no borders,

every race sinking in the epidemic.

Lives on the tree of life shake in the wind,

while angels cover them with their wings.

Angels see us through the dark night,

bringing us again to the starlight.

You're somebody else's father,

yet you give me a father’s support.

You're somebody else's mother,

yet you show me a mother’s care.

Angels risk their lives,

carrying me through the jaws of death.

Angels suffer homesickness,

but remain by my side day and night.

You are someone else's son,

yet you hold my limp hands.

You are someone else's daughter,

yet you soothe my trembling heart.

You are a fragrant cherry blossom,

you shine like waves of the Karoon.

You are a Great Wall maple leaf,

You stand like a valiant lion.

You are the angel above,

giving us the dream to reunite.

You are the angel above,

giving us the strength to fight.

We though have to stay at home,

builders are making safe islands.

Guardians safeguard the justice,

volunteers are serving us.

If human hand in hand,

Eternal fate shall not fade.

Hideous night will be sunk in brave days.

The virus knows no borders and the epidemic is the common

enemy of humankind.
